A technological masterpiece from the 1990s is back! Tamagotchi is now available to order through Amazon. Bandai America announced the return of the digital pets on their website.
According to Comicbook.com, the team behind the re-release of Tamagotchi is partnering with Loot Crate and Tile to make sure people get their hands on the virtual pets. Certain Loot Crates, Loot Gaming, and Loot Anime boxes are being set out in October containing the new release.

Tile is offering a promotion on their Twitter. Users can comment their best memory with the original Tamagotchi from the ’90s. They will then choose their favorite and send the winner a relaunched version plus a Tile to go along with it. Tile is a Bluetooth tracking device that helps make sure the virtual monsters are never lost in the couch cushions or anywhere else.
We wanted to do something unique and special for the return of the Original Tamagotchi, and collaborate with companies that share our vision of bringing back this beloved classic series,” said Tara Badie, Bandai America Marketing Director. “The partnerships with Loot Crate and Tile will showcase the original virtual pet like never before and we believe that they will be true collector’s items.”

To get a hold of the nostalgic infused toy, fans can order them online through Amazon or pick them up in stores like Target, GameStop, Best Buy, and Barnes and Noble.
The digital pets cost $19.99 and come in a multitude of colors and designs. Tamagotchi’s grow up into seven different forms of adults, and how they’re taken off, impacts what they become.
Feed it, turn lights on/off, play with it, give it medicine, flush after it’s used the bathroom, check it’s health and discipline your Tamagotchi if he bothers you when he’s happy, fed and all cleaned up.”
