Oscar-winner Jamie Lee Curtis will guest star in the Amazon heist comedy series The Sticky. She will also be an executive producer for it. Guillaume Cyr, Margo Martindale, and Chris Diamantopoulos will also c0-star in the Amazon heist comedy series The Sticky alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. Production has already started for the series in and around Montreal. It’s inspired by the true story behind “Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist”. 70% of the world’s global maple syrup supply was stolen during this period. Quite the sticky situation. The film follows Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale) a maple syrup farmer who plans a maple syrup heist with a low-level mobster. This amounts to a loss of millions of dollars of the sweet treat. Michael Dowse and Joyce Wong will direct the series. Brian Donovan and Ed Herro created the series and will be executive producers.
Jamie Lee Curtis is No Stranger to Comedy
Sure, Jamie Lee Curtis is a scream queen but she knows how to play up comedy as well. From her roles in A Fish Called Wanda to Freaky Friday, she is a very versatile star. Jamie Lee Curtis will be an executive producer of the Amazon heist comedy series The Sticky under Comet Pictures. She has quite an eclectic career and has been able to traverse different genres successfully. This time Curtis will be making the trip from the big screen to the small screen with The Sticky. She has been working long enough that television used to be a place where actors’ careers ended but it’s now just another lucrative opportunity these days. No details have been shared on what role Curtis will play in this messy heist comedy. However, Lee’s credits prove she’s up to the role.
The Amazon heist comedy series already has a notable cast and sounds like quite the sweet time.
