The Thundermans are returning to the screen, and this time, they’re going big. Nickelodeon Studios has just announced their plans for The Thundermans Return, a feature-length movie following the events of the hit sitcom series The Thundermans, with most of the series’ original cast returning to reprise their roles within the Thunderman family of superheroes.
Premiering on Nickelodeon in 2013, The Thundermans follows the Thunderman family – made up of Dad Hank (Chris Tallman), Mom Barb (Rosa Blasi), twins Max (Jack Griffo) and Phoebe (Kira Corasin), and younger siblings Billy (Diego Velazquez) and Nora (Addison Riecke) – as they attempt to live normal, non-superpowered lives in the small town of Hiddenville. Despite the family’s well-meaning attempts, hiding their superpowers often doesn’t go well, leading to many different comical shenanigans as they try to live “normal” lives. In the last season of the show, superheroes-in-training Max and Phoebe – known as the Thunder Twins – are chosen as candidates for the elite superhero team known as Z-Force; the show concludes with the twins leading a newly ref0rmed Z-Force and recruiting the rest of the Thundermans as the family finally gets to step into the limelight.
