Each generation there comes a point where most people look at the games coming out and think, wow, these look incredible but they haven’t changed in a while, I guess this is just how good games can look now. And then the next thing comes out and everyone starts shouting “this can’t be a game!!! It looks too real!” This hyper photorealistic English breakfast is that next thing. And it was made in Dreams.
For the uninitiated Dreams is the freeform successor to Media Molecules generation-defining series Little Big Planet. They have been working on it for a while and the game was made available for Early Access on April 16th, 2019, the first Sony backed game to have done so. After a short hiatus Dreams will see its 1.0 release on Feb 14th.
Known as the Full Beech Breakfast, this incredible looking meal was created by Dreams user John Beech, known in-game as THE_ARCH1TECT, as part of a competition between himself and users Lucid Stu, Dirty Harolds, and Snaggs.
Also, seeing the Imp jumping around on realistic food looks crazy. pic.twitter.com/RDBFcvdrKG

It looks so real that it is hard to believe it is digital and yet here is a video Beech himself took of the games cursor creature bouncing around on his meticulously crafted meal. If this is what people are making in Dreams and the game hasn’t even reached its 1.0 official release yet then I cannot wait to see what sort of things will come from the game being marketed to the world at large. Or what things will be possible on this upcoming generation of hardware.
For those with the game or just interested in experiencing the Full Beech for themselves the link to the 3d still life is available on Dreams official website, here.
