The news of Toy Story 5 has been intensely circling around the internet as well as another squeal for Frozen. This week Tim Allen has confirmed his return to his role as Buzz Lightyear in the newly announced Toy Story movie. On Wednesday, Allen posted a tweet on Twitter saying, “see ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to number 5! To infinity and beyond.” In the tweet, he also shared a picture of Buzz Lightyear.
Toy Story 5 Is Happening
Not only is Toy Story getting a fifth movie, but also Frozen and Zootopia are getting well-deserved sequels. There are no further details on the films as of right now. It was noticed last year that Tim Allen was absent when Chris Evan’s Lightyear was released, which was hard for fans since Tim Allen had voiced Buzz since 1995 in the first Pixar Toy Story film. It is good to see Allen back at it again returning as the fan-favorite character.
As mentioned above, we don’t know much about the fifth installment of Toy Story, but many of the main characters will be returning, like Woody, who will be voiced by Tom Hanks once again. “There’s really no ‘Toy Stark’ Buzz without Woody,” which is what Allen had said to Extra last year when Lightyear was released, and both he and Hanks were absent.
Tim Allen’s last project was The Santa Clauses series on Disney+, where he continued his role as Scott Calvin for The Santa Clasues series. For now, we don’t have much else to update you on, but we will let you know once more is announced for the fifth Toy Story movie. All the Toy Story films can be watched on Disney+ as well as The Santa Clauses.
