The longtime rivals made their return for one last chase back in January of this year. However, not only have they made a comeback in television, but Funko has finally decided to make a Pop version out of them. With Funko applying the treatment to every single piece of media that makes it to the screen, it was only a matter of time before the classic cartoon characters made their debut.
The regular versions remind us of the not so innocent cat wielding a machete, with the seemingly squeaky-clean brown haired mouse holding a piece of cheese. The Target exclusive reveals a treacherous Jerry holding a dynamite, with Tom hiding a bomb behind his back likewise. A flocked double pack will be available exclusively from the Funko store.

These classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters are not the only ones to have received the Pop treatment. Other notable nostalgic cartoons that were previously available to purchase were Scooby-Doo as well as the futuristic family The Jetsons. In fact, another popular cat available as a Pop, whose traits are not as murderous as our fellow Tom, is Top Cat.
The regular Pop versions of our childhood cartoon are already available to pre-order at Entertainment Earth. These two are slated to be available by September of this year. On the other hand, the Target exclusive ones will be available a little bit sooner. They are expected to arrive in August, alongside the Funko Limited Flocked versions. Funko Pop also recently revealed the addition of Funko Pop Cereals, curiously titled FunkO’s. The cereals are expected to arrive sometime this month, which is also the month when San Diego Comic-Con exclusives are right around the corner.
