Total War Thrones Of Britannia‘s release date is drawing closer and with that in mind, SEGA have released a couple of videos highlighting some of the new features of the game. One of the videos talks about the politic system in the game.
A few of the new features that the video speaks about is how to maintain loyalty and how to control your noble man. Individual nobles/characters have loyalty ratings which you can secure through bribery or influence. Players can increase loyalty by distributing estates. Assassinations are much more in-depth then previous games, as players are now given different scenarios of the assassin to make it successful.
Line of Succession will now have a bigger impact on how you play the game. Players need to micromanage their leaders or else it will back-fire on them. For example, the video highlights the fact that you can declare an heir, but if they are unfit to rule then it may cause a civil war. Severity of a civil war is higher than seen in previous games and can become a big threat to your empire.
Players can sabotage noble men’s influence by taking away titles and estates. An improvement from a similar mechanic that was in Rome II. However, if careless the removing of titles and estates can make nobles to revolt. The last feature that is new is that players can assign governors based on their trait which can affect public order and corruption.
Depilatory from the looks of the video is still the same as past games, but this is a good thing as the mechanic works great. From the looks of it, Total War Thrones Of Britannia has become more in-depth with all the best features from previous games, but fans of the series will just have to wait and find out for themselves.
