Get ready for the WAAAAG In Total War: Warhammer II
To start, we have to go back to The Shadow & the Blade trailer, released last November. Towards the end of the video, several users were quick to note whispers. “Get ready for the waaaaag,” “warden,” and “murder him” were all heard by listeners. These whispers also appear at the end of the videos “Introducing Poison Wind Mortars” and “Introducing Medusa” with new whispers clearly stating, “beware the warden.”
Based on these whispers, the most prominent being “get ready for the waaaag” it is safe to assume something orc related is coming soon to TotalWar Warhammer II but what exactly? Highlighted by the Youtuber Riskafish Gaming in the video below, the new Warhammer II DLC could be for the goblin war boss Grom. These claims are largely validated considering that in the lore, the goblin war boss Grom was said to sail west to Ulthuan by a goblin shamen who received a prophecy by whispers. With this established, it can be further speculated that a new lord DLC is on the horizon. This is due to the other whispers shown at the end of all three trailers, “Beware The Warden,” “Warden,” and “Murder Him.”
These whispers could be the goblin shamen warning Grom of the high elf Eltharion the Grim, who in the lore is the Warden of Tor Yvresse. The Warden Eltharion also defeated Grom’s WAAAG that invaded Ulthuan. With all of this put together, it seems highly likely that the possible new DLC may be for Both Eltharion and Grom. In the latest teaser, an orcish mask was shown with a rock-like arm. This at first may seem minor; however, this actually may be a witty hint at one of the possible new orc units in the new DLC. The mask in the teaser appears to be identical to that of the rogue idol of Gork and Mork. So It’s possible that this huge orc rock golem monster unit is coming to the game, which honestly sounds freaking awesome.
