V Rising: How to Find and Defeat the Putrid Rat

V Rising is the new survival MMO game made by the Swedish Stunlock Studios. Even though it is still in Early Access, the game gained popularity, and players from all around the globe are playing and building their base. Your main quest in V Rising is to defeat more than 30 bosses known as the V-Blood. In some cases, the real challenge is finding the boss rather than fighting it. How to Find and Defeat the Putrid Rat in V Rising

Finding and defeating each boss in V Rising will grant you new skills, items, or recipes that help with your progress. By going to the Blood Altar in your base, you can choose a boss and track them down. But this is not the case for Putrid Rat.

The tricky part about finding Putrid Rat in V Rising is you don’t have to go searching for it; you need to summon the boss to your base. To do this, you need to build a vermin nest for 360 stones and 120 bones.

After that, you need 8 Grave Dust, 4 Fish Bones, and 1 Twilight Snapper to summon the Putrid Rat Boss. Then the level 30 V-Blood boss will appear within 30 seconds.

The boss itself is not that difficult to defeat. You can easily dodge its usual attacks. The real issue will arise once the boss starts to dig the ground and other small rats pop out from the dig. Depending on what strategy you use to fight in the game, pick a good spot before summoning the Putrid Rat. After you have destroyed all the small rats, the boss appears again, and you can finish it off this time.
