As a survival PvP and PvE game, it’s no wonder V Rising is filled with scavenging. A key crafting material players should look out for in V Rising is Stone Dust. It’s not the easiest to come by, though. Still, we’ll help you figure out a way to get some as soon as possible.
How to Get Stone Dust Crafting Material in V Rising
Stone Dust and Stone Brick go hand-in-hand. So, when you seek out one, you’ll get the other as well. However, Stone Dust is a rather complicated crafting material to find in V Rising.
Yes, you can find some in chests around the map. You may also find some around destructible buildings and objects like when breaking pillars. This has a poor return sometimes though, so you’re better off crafting it. But the crafting project is where it can get confusing.
It goes like this: you need Stone Dust to craft Whetstone, but you need Whetstone to craft Stone Dust.
This is because you have to build a Grinder near your Castle Heart if you want a healthy supply of Stone Dust in the game. A Grinder needs the following crafting materials:
- 8 boards
- 4 Copper Ingots
- 4 Whetstones
The boards come from the sawmill, while the Copper Ingots come from adding ingots to your Furnace. But what about the Whetstones? Well, you can’t craft those yet. Your best bet is to defeat Bandits at Bandit Camps as you can loot a good deal of Whetstones.
Now, you have your Grinder. What about the Stone Dust in V Rising? Well, you need Raw Stones. Once you have 12 Raw Stones, add them to the Grinder. You’ll receive 1 Stone Dust and 1 Stone Brick. Using this method isn’t just good for Stone Dust as Stone Brick is a vital material to build your castle that’s literally made from brick.
Once you defeat Grayson the Armourer (Level 27 boss), you can actually craft Whetstone in the Furnace. This will cost you 1 Copper Ingot and 12 Stone Dust.
And this is where the Stone Dust comes in handy in V Rising as Whetstone is a useful commodity for many reasons, like helping you build a good roof.
