Food in Valheim has the ability to grant buffs to players that can mean the difference between victory or defeat in some fights. Mead, while a delicious beverage, is no exception. Valheim even gives players the opportunity to make different kinds of Mead for different results. All that’s left is for you to figure out how to make it. But not to worry, this guide will tell you how to do just that.
How to Make Mead
To make Mead in Valheim, you need a cauldron and a fermenter. The cauldron has to be crafted with a hammer and requires ten Tin. Be sure to place this above a fire close to the workbench and the fermenter. The only way to make Mead is if the cauldron and the fermenter are in close distance to each other as well as the workbench. Depending on your setup, it might be best to have the cauldron inside as the fermenter has to be inside to work.
Not only does the fermenter have to be placed inside, but it also needs 30 Wood, five Bronze, and ten Resin. You will need a hammer as well as a forge to complete the craft, but after that, you should be all set. Once you have the cauldron and fermenter crafted, go ahead and make your Mead base.
Our Other Valheim Guides
There are plenty of options. You could craft a Mead base that regenerates Stamina, Health, or even makes you resistant to poison. After you have your base, just place it in the fermenter. Then your Mead will only require a few in-game days before it is finished.
That’s all there is to it. The hardest part of the process is setting everything up. After that, it’s just a matter of having the right ingredients to supply your Mead demand.
