Valheim is one of the new popular RPG games that was recently added to Game Pass as well. Since it’s an addition to Game Pass, many new players have got the chance to experience the game as well. It might be a little hard, and also some mechanisms are confusing for new players. The Elder is the second boss of the game, and here is how to beat it in Valheim.
How to Beat the Second Boss, The Elder in Valheim
Your progression in Valheim has a direct link to finding and beating the five unique bosses of the game. The second boss of the game is called The Elder, but you might find it hard to actually summon the boss in order to face it.
The Home Biome of The Eldern is Valheim is the Black Forrest and in order to face it, you have to summon it by using the Mystical Alter in Black Forrest. You can find this Mysticla Alter by obtaining runestones by searching the stone towers and burial chambers in this biome. Interacting with the runestone will mark the location of the altar on your map.
Now that you’ve found the alter it is time to summon the boss itself. In order to summon The Elder, you must place 3 Ancient Seeds in the flaming bowl. Do this and after a few moments, the boss will appear. You can obtain Ancient Seeds by destroying purple smokey Greydrawf in the biome.
Before starting the boss, there are a few things you must do. First, scout the place to make sure there aren’t any enemies that might join the fight once the boss fight starts. Secondly, make sure to have as much as fire arrows as you can carry.
The Elder is weak against Fire damage, therefore carrying Fire Arrows allows you to deal more damage as well as staying away from him. If you get close to him, the Elder will stomp the ground which will create an AoE damage that you must avoid.

Staying away from it will make The Elder use its primary attack which is firing damaging vines in a conical spray toward the target. There is also the move in which Elder will summon damaging roots from the ground. Both of these can be easily dodged.
