The Spider-Man Universe by Sony is still set to expand, and now, we finally have an update on Venom 3 after it was announced shortly after Venom: Let There Be Carnage. There have now been two other Venom movies starring Tom Hardy. And back in April 2022, Tom Hardy teased that this would be the “last dance.” That was really the last thing we heard about the film until now. Sony’s symbiote will be returning to the big screen soon.
Venom 3 Will Start Filming Soon
In just a couple of months, Venom 3 will begin shooting, shared by the industry insider Daniel Richtman. In a Patreon post recently, Richtman wrote that Sony Pictures plans to film the threequel Venom movie from June to September in England. The other two precious Venom films both started filming around a year out from the film’s planned release. For example, Venom began production in October 2017, and the movie was in theaters on October 5th, 2018. Let There Be Carnage began on November 15th, 2019, and it was planned to release on October 2nd, 2020. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie was pushed back a year and released on October 1st, 2021.
Now, if the franchise decides to stick with this trend of releases, the Venom 3 movie could come out in October 2024, but filming is starting at a different time, a few months earlier, so it might release in the summer of 2024. So, for now, it looks like Venom 3 will be in theaters in the second half of 2024. For now, we don’t know of any other Marvel Sony films in the works as of right now…the only other movie we know of which stars Chris Pratt (known as Marvel’s Star-Lord) is Garfield, which will release on May 24th. We will keep you updated once we know more about Venom 3 and when it’ll release.
