A variant cover by Paolo Siqueira and Rachelle Rosenberg for Marvel’s Venom #10 has been revealed, but with a censor. Instead of a face on the cover, there’s a black blot with the words “Who is Bedlam?” By definition, Bedlam means a scene of uproar and confusion. Fitting, since fans are confused as to the villain’s identity. Eddie Brock and his son Dylan are in the same boat. However, they are in worse shape since Bedlam has been terrorizing the father-son duo for a while now. Written by Al Ewing and illustrated by Bryan Hitch, fans are in for a treat with Venom’s next couple of issues.
Who Is Bedlam, Venom’s New Enemy?
To put it bluntly, nobody knows just yet. Besides being a colossal red and black symbiote, his true identity is unknown. However, July’s issue of Venom #9 promises to unmask the character.
Check out a classified version of Paulo Siqueira’s VENOM #10 variant cover and be there when Bedlam, the chaotic force behind Eddie and Dylan Brock’s recent troubles, reveals his identity in VENOM #9 on July 27!
According to Bedlam, however, Meridious sent him to terrorize the Venom symbiote in order to make him stronger. At one point, Bedlam tapped into the Hive-Mind to manifest Eddie Brock’s torso and manipulate Dylan into thinking Bedlam is his father. While Dylan has fulfilled his destiny by donning the Venom symbiote, his father, Eddie, wanders the future in search of a way to help his son.
Eddie found himself in the future after “dying” in an attack by the Absent Throne. His consciousness flung itself millions of years into the future. Reincarnated as a symbiote in the Garden of Time, Eddie unknowingly met the leader of the Absent Throne, Meridious. When one of the Kings in Black tried to tell Eddie something important, Bedlam attacked. This was his first encounter with the colossal symbiote.
Eddie has come a long way. From a simple-minded enemy of Spider-Man to a major force in the grand scheme of the Marvel universe.
Venom #8 is already on shelves, while #9 lands on July 27 and #10 on August 31, 2022.
