Filming for the newest Fast & Furious movie began today and star Vin Diesel has just announced via Instagram that the movie not only has a new logo but a new name: Fast X.
Vin Diesel is practically the face of the Fast & Furious franchise, having been a part of the movie series since the debut of The Fast & the Furious in 2005. As longtime fans of the series know, Diesel plays Dominic Toretto, the patriarch, and leader of a pack of street racers. He initially worked as an auto mechanic but following his father’s death, took on the responsibility of finding profit for the gang, which often included various illicit heists and shady jobs for the government.

Rodriguez and Gibson have been confirmed to reprise their earlier roles alongside Vin Diesel in Fast X, along with Sung Kang as Han Seoul-Oh from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Regarding Fast X, Vin Diesel also reportedly told Comicbook.net that the tenth and eleventh movies in the Fast & Furious series are filming “back-to-back”, with anticipated release dates of February 2023 and 2024, respectively. The eleventh movie, which is currently untitled, is also meant to be the series’ last.
Additionally, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Diesel has previously announced that Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), and Jason Mamoa (Aquaman) will also star in Fast X, although details of their roles are still unknown at this time. Justin Lin, who was a major director of the Fast & Furious franchise from 2006 to 2015 and recently returned to the series to direct F9 in 2021, will direct the tenth and eleventh films.
