Vivica A. Fox hasn’t spoken to Jada Pinkett since she called out her comment about the Oscars slap incident. Fox disclosed in an interview that since her response to Jada’s comment about Will and Chris Rock slap-ish, they haven’t spoken to each other.
Sometime in June, Fox responded to Jada’s remark on her Red Table Talk show about the incident. The actress stated that Jada took no accountability while discussing the Oscar issue involving her husband.
Fox, who has worked with the couple on different occasions, held back tears as she made her point known. She was on set with Will for the Independence Day movie and Jada for Set It Off.
The 58-year-old actress wished that everyone could just have a little more accountability. She also went on to reveal her feelings by saying that she doesn’t want it to seem self-righteous on Jada’s part.
Vivica Fox & Jada Pinkett Haven’t Talked Since Oscars Slap Comment
During the premiere of The Great Wolf Pack: A Call to Adventure at the Great Wolf Lodge this Tuesday, Vivica Fox confirmed with PEOPLE that she hasn’t spoken to Jada Pinkett since she responded. Fox seems to relate to the current reality of the Smith family.
According to the actress, she feels the Smiths are currently going through a healing season.
She affirmed her love for Will as she referred to him as one of her favorite people on earth. Part of the reason that Vivica Fox and Jada Pinkett haven’t talked is that she believes that Will is more accountable for his actions after he apologized.
Jada, on the other hand, isn’t as accountable as her husband, and this was Fox’s concern.
Fox Wants Everyone To Move Forward from the incident
The actress believes Will should be given another chance after his apology video to Chris Rock and his family. Fox wants things to return to normal, and everyone should move forward after the incident even though she hasn’t spoken to Jada Pinkett in a while.
Importantly, she noted that everyone must learn that it must never happen again, especially on a stage like the Oscars. If everyone moves on, maybe Vivica Fox and Jada Pinkett, that haven’t spoken in a long while, will repair things.
The same issue has given rise to other uncomfortable situations in the industry. But Will has apologized to everyone affected for his behavior at the Oscars. Fox believes his apology is okay, and everyone should move on as they draw lessons from the ugly incident.
