The Walker Stalker Convention in Philadelphia just wrapped up this past weekend and it was a blast. Fans got to meet plenty of the actors/actresses from The Walking Dead both past and present, as well as others from various TV shows. The Walker Stalker Convention had plenty of unique vendors at this outing. From custom carved pumpkins to leashed hand free dog walking, something was there for everyone. When it comes to these conventions, timing and scheduling with various actors is always incredibly tight. Thankfully, we were able to catch up with both Sean Patrick Flanery and Scott Wilson. Those interviews are on our YouTube channel and linked below
One of my favorite things about these types of conventions are the panels. I always recommend to anyone that has the time and desire to check out the ones for their favorite shows or actors/actresses. They are generally very fun and spontaneous to be a part of. For instance, one panel this past weekend had various members from The Walking Dead playing the game “Pictionary” up on stage. Another panel had Laurie Holden discussing her character Andrea. As many fans know, Andrea was killed off fairly early in the television series whereas in the comics the character survived much longer. Not only was Laurie Holden upset about how this was done but she also felt the storyline with her and the governor was “Complete and utter nonsense.” Revelations like this are what make the panels at Walker Stalker Con stand out.

When it comes to our interviews, both Scott Wilson and Sean Patrick Flanery were fun to talk to. I always appreciate Sean’s insight when it comes to professional fighting because of his Jui-Jitsu background. I myself have done quite a bit of boxing and even bare-knuckle boxing so it’s always interesting to hear him talk about the topic. One of the biggest intriguing tidbits from Scott Wilson was in regards to the OA. Big thanks to Julie and Dianna over at their “Aim for the Head” Podcast for their question idea regarding the show. Scott Wilson has not been approached to appear in season two of the show but he will be in season three! That is… assuming they do it. Certainly very interesting news there.
The next Walker Stalker Convention is a big one and will be held in Atlanta on October 27 thru the 29th. This is one of their biggest shows because that is where The Walking Dead is currently filming so plenty of the stars will be on hand. While The Nerd Stash isn’t expected to be at that show, we do hope to be in attendance at the New Jersey Convention on December 9th and 10th. Have you been to a Walker Stalker Convention before? If so, what did you think? Be sure to let us know in the comments below and check out our YouTube channel for our interviews from this past weekend.
