Have you ever wanted to work for Nintendo? Do you love the Legend of Zelda series and do you have the qualifications necessary to work at Nintendo? If you answered yes to all three of those questions, I have some great news for you.
Nintendo has just announced a job opening as a level designer for the Legend of Zelda series. The opening is at Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters. As qualifications are concerned, the company is looking for applicants who have “experience in producing consumer games as a game planner” and are “confident in communication skills in Japanese when collaborating.”
The contracted (not permanent) position’s salary fluctuates between $34,766-$74,107. Nintendo will pay for “transportation expenses full payment, housing allowance, overtime allowance, various social insurance, postponement payment, re-employment support money etc.”
Like Blizzard, Nintendo may have just revealed the development of a new Legend of Zelda title. Breath of the Wild was released in 2017 to an overwhelmingly positive reception and even won “Game of the Year” at the 2017 Game Awards. With that massive success, it isn’t too crazy to believe that the major gaming platform is already working on the next hit installment of the Zelda series.
However, this could mean that this opening is just for upcoming DLC for Breath of the Wild. The game has already released two DLC packs so it is possible that the level designer job could be for DLC #3.
If you qualify for this opening and want to apply for a chance to work on a Zelda game, click here to go to Nintendo’s recruitment page.
