Rumors are starting to circulate regarding the setting of Watch Dogs 3. These rumors suggest that the game will be releasing later this year. Also, according to these reports, the location of the game will be set in London similar to 2015’s Assassins Creed Syndicate. This is according to an anonymous rumor that was found on 4chan. This was also supported by Jason Schreier, a writer for Kotaku.
Watch Dogs 3 is said to give players the option to pick the gender of their character. The game will reportedly make stealth a priority and the weapons will be fairly limited. This will emphasize you to use more hacking tools that are at your disposal. With this being set in London, I can see this as a strong possibility. In place of guns, we could possibly see blunt weapons to help change up the playstyle of the series.
We could also see some famous London landmarks such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Currently, there is a discussion amongst fans regarding why London is the setting of the game seeing as 2016’s Watch Dogs 2 was set in San Francisco, which is a really huge tech-centered place in America. If this rumor is indeed true, London will definitely be an interesting backdrop for Watch Dogs 3.
In the 4chan post, there was also a rumor of a new Assassin’s Creed game releasing in 2020 codenamed Legion. Kotaku’s Jason Schreier touched on that as well, stating that he wasn’t sure about this part of the report.
