It is the worst whenever there is a 24-hour downtime for any type of release. Especially if for a player, it is their favorite game. The game currently going through downtime is Overwatch which just shut down to transition to its Overwatch 2 launch. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to merge your accounts. A lot of players are already eager to start diving into the new battle pass and grind for those new heroes. Which, as you may already know, it is quite a controversial topic. Nevertheless, the Overwatch 2 release time is almost here, and if you want to get ready for it today, we’ll tell you at what time it launches.
Overwatch 2 Release Time is October 4 at 12 p.m PT
For the Overwatch 2 launch, players must adjust their schedule depending on their time zone. The hour for different timezones is as such:
- PDT: 12 p.m
- EDT: 3 p.m
- BST: 8 p.m
- CET: 9 p.m
- AEST: 6 a.m (October 5)
With these schedules, you can plan your day accordingly. This provided that there aren’t any technical difficulties like bloated servers or delays during Overwatch 2’s release time. This is something that thankfully hasn’t happened that often with Activision-Blizzard games. Yet, with how famous this game is and how much marketing there is around it, we need to be ready for anything.

How to Preload Overwatch 2
Remember that during Overwatch 2 launch, you’ll be able to purchase the Watchpoint Pack. This pack includes some skins, 2000 coins, the battle pass, and the new character Kiriko. This is great if you want to get a jump-start or if you just want to play with the new hero. Beyond that, the developers have said that grinding the battle pass shouldn’t be too tedious. Whenever the Overwatch 2 release time gets here, we’ll be able to try it. For now, all we can do is wait, play something else, and rest our eyes before we dive into the game. As players, tomorrow will be the day we’ll see if the game was worth the wait or if it is all the same again.
