Back in 2014 and 2018, FIFA released a World Cup DLC that allowed players to virtually hoist up the coveted trophy. This beloved game mode will make its return in the latest addition to the franchise. Just when can you play the World Cup game mode in FIFA 23? Well, we have all the answers you’re looking for and more. This way, you should be ready when the time comes.
World Cup Game Mode: When does it Arrive in FIFA 23?
Although there is no precise time yet, we can get a good idea as to when this game mode will arrive in FIFA 23. EA has promised to reveal more information when the time gets closer. Until then, we can comfortably guess at a release time. Considering the previous times the franchise released them, they coincided with the actual World Cup.
As such, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 begins on November 20, 2022. We can believe that the FIFA 23 World Cup DLC will drop on or around this date.
Besides just releasing this singular play mode, FIFA 23 will also release the women’s side too. The FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023 starts on July 20, 2023. Likewise with Qatar, we believe the DLC will release on or around this time if it does not initially release with Qatar.
These updates are completely free DLC. So, there is nothing else you have to buy besides the base game to play the World Cup.
What is Included with the World Cup Mode in FIFA 23?
Like previous additions, the latest World Cup Mode should include a FUT add-on. So, you can build up your team using those in the World Cup. The previous releases also allowed players to enjoy it both online and offline.
