The eagerly awaited game from Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo IV, was first revealed on November 1 at Blizzcon 2019. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June 2022 indicated that the game would release sometime in 2023, despite the need for a confirmed release date. According to the latest rumors, preorders for Diablo IV will start in December, and the game will supposedly have a release date in April 2023.
Diablo IV Release Date Might Be Set to April 2023
Diablo IV will be shown off at The Game Awards 2022 on December 8, 2022, and will go on sale in April 2023. These claims, which were first brought to light by Windows Central and The XboxEra Podcast, claimed that Diablo IV would formally enter the spotlight in December 2022 at The Game Awards 2022.
Most of the private betas for Diablo IV were restricted to friends and family. Large chunks of the beta have still been streamed online despite this.
On the other hand, the game’s director and associate game director have repeatedly emphasized that players will only be able to use real money to develop their character’s skills as more details about the game have been available.
Every season, a new character will be available for players to create, transforming the Diablo franchise into a live service. After the negative response to Diablo Immortal, it is understood that there will still be microtransactions of some sort, but they won’t be connected to player advancement.
Even if these claims are false, you don’t need to be impatient. According to Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo IV will be released next year, which is already in the future. So, keep an eye out until the latest rumor is confirmed to be accurate, and put December 8, 2022, on your calendars for The Game Awards 2022.
The latest installment of the Diablo franchise was Diablo Immortal for iOS, Android, and PC. However, the open beta received mixed reviews due to the game’s reliance on in-app purchases. Blizzard earned $49 million during Diablo Immortal‘s first month.
