Still trying to figure out how to get to The Peng Treasure in Dead Space Remake? Don’t worry! This guide has got you (and your anxiety) covered.
We show you the new location of the most famous collectible of the USG Ishimura so that you can unlock its respective trophy (or achievement).
Dead Space has many collectibles. Still, there is one in particular that has its own lore, and that unlocks an achievement or trophy as soon as you collect it.
Of course, we are referring to The Peng Treasure in Dead Space Remake, a bronze statuette that can also be sold in any store to get 30,000 credits. The remake has yet to forget about it, but it has changed its location.
The Peng Treasure in the original 2008 game could be obtained in chapter 11 when we returned to the flight deck.

However, the Dead Space Remake has us return to that location much earlier, at the end of chapter 2. Does that mean it can be obtained so soon? Well, no. Its developers have moved it around for anxious people like us and placed it in another spot that we will only get to… exactly, you guessed it, again in chapter 11.
Where is The Peng Treasure in Dead Space Remake?
You can get The Peng Treasure during Chapter 11.
You’ll spot it on the loading platform, where you must start moving the effigy. You can’t miss it as you explore.
Follow these steps to get The Peng Treasure in Dead Space Remake:
- Go down to the platform in an elevator
- Open the locker behind you (you’ll find it behind some boxes you can remove with kinetic energy).
- Ta-da! It’s all yours. Both the Peng Treasure and your respective achievement/trophy.
Dead Space Remake is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
