Want to know where to find Dwarven Steel in God of War Ragnarok? As you progress through the new game in the God of War series, you will have to fight dozens of powerful opponents as before. And although the strength and endurance of Kratos are beyond the understanding of ordinary creatures, the world of myths and ancient legends is full of even more dangerous creatures. To resist them, you must find new weapons and many materials to improve these. One of the rare and valuable materials in the mid-late game is Dwarven Steel, and our guide will tell you where to find it.
Where to Find Dwarven Steel in God of War Ragnarok
Like you found Forged Iron, you can find Dwarven Steel in God of War Ragnarok in ancient coffins and chests. This material will come in handy from the middle and later games to improve your weapons and equipment. You will probably have to visit dozens of tombs and secret caves before you get enough to upgrade materials. In the meantime, you’ll probably have time to collect a ton of Forged Iron, Rawhide, and other treasures.
To find more tombs and chests, you should explore every corner of the mythical world. You can find several treasures as you progress through the main story path. But the most valuable treasures are hidden in secondary and unremarkable locations. Also, you won’t be able to get Dwarven Steel until you’ve completed your quest in Tower of Light with Tyr in Alfheim. Dwarven Steel is a high-level material, so you won’t be able to get it earlier.

Perhaps the first time you get Dwarven Steel is after completing the Vulture’s Gold treasure map. Once you’ve cleared the Tower of Light and entered The Barrens, Tyr will prompt you to search the area. Soon after, you will receive Vulture’s Gold treasure map, and thanks to it, you will find some Dwarven Steel and other treasures. Later you get other treasure maps, and we strongly recommend using these.
While you’ll get the bulk of your strength gains by upgrading your weapons and armor, there are other ways to get stronger. First, use enchantments on armor and weapons to temporarily strengthen these. Secondly, do not forget about Atreus and his bow. Kratos’ son’s ability is as good as his father’s, and the boy can be even more effective in the fight by using different arrows.
God of War Ragnarok is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
