In Genshin Impact, there are various items called Local Specialty that can be used to Ascend or level up your party members. As you can expect, these Local Specialties can only be found in specific regions, such as Inazuma’s Sango Pearl or Liyue’s Glaze Lily. With the Genshin Impact 3.0 update comes the new Sumeru region as well as its Local Specialty, the Kalpalata Lotus.
At least 168 Kalpalata Lotus are needed to Ascend one of the two new characters from Sumeru, Dori, and Nahida. Obviously, you would need to farm these flower items if you use Dori or Nahida in your party, so here’s how you can find the location of Kalpalata Lotus in Genshin Impact.
Kalpalata Lotus Location in Genshin Impact’s Sumeru
According to the in-game description, Kalpalata Lotus is actually not a lotus. They are flowers that grow on cliff sides and are called lotus only because it has a similar appearance to one. In the new Sumeru region of Genshin Impact, you can find Kalpalata Lotus in the Sumeru Rainforest, or specifically in:
- Lokapala Jungle
- Vissudha Field
- Avidya Forest
- Ardravi Valley
- And Ashavan Realm
Usually, these flowers can easily be found sprouting on cliffs near water sources. But if you need a quick farming route, YouTuber Deku Danu has made a very efficient video walkthrough which you can watch below.
Aside from farming them by running around the Sumeru Rainforest area, you can also buy Kalpalata Lotus from the NPC Aramani in Vanarana. Aramani sells five Kalpalata Lotus every 3 days, each costing 1,000 Mora. Don’t forget to check out miHoYo’s official Genshin Impact interactive map if you need other pointers to find the Local Specialty item.
