Pokémon Scarlet and Violet feature numerous Pokémon you can add to your bag. Pawmi is one you may first notice your pal Nemona using. You can use these adorable Pokémon, too, once you catch them. Thankfully, there is a chance you can find Pawmi early in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. We’ll show you where to keep an eye out for Pawmi in the beginning as well as later in the game.
Where to Find Pawmi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Pawmi is a charming-looking Mouse, Electric-type Pokémon. This little shy creature is rarely seen, however. But there is a chance that you can find Pawmi near the beginning of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
When you head to the field area after Nemona talks about catching Pokémon, Pawmi might appear. Search East of Poco Path.
Otherwise, Pawmi does live in southern Paldea. Try to stick to the southeast, more specifically. Check out the following areas for Pawmi to spawn in the wild:
- South Province Area One
- South Province Area Three
- Los Platos
- South Province Area Five
Just remember, though: Pawmi is not seen often in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. So, even if you venture to the Pokémon’s natural habitat, there is no guarantee they will spawn for you.
However, once you do encounter a wild Pawmi, they are not difficult to catch. The Pokémon is on the weak side, so just run them down a bit in battle and through a Poké Ball at it. You should catch one with ease.

Despite its initial weak state, players seek Pawmi out because it is one of the few that boasts a three-stage evolution path. When you find Pawmi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can get to work on evolving it.
Pawmi evolves into its second stage, Pawmo, at Level 18. It’s a bit of work to get this going, but certainly worth it if you want to see all three stages. For the third and final stage, Pawmot, have Pawmo walk with you in “Let’s Go.” You must walk 1,000 steps for the evolution to trigger.
It’s true that you might not immediately find Pawmi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet despite their availability at the beginning. Even so, just wander around their natural habitat as one should pop up at some point.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is available on Nintendo Switch.
