Given the vast amount of resources available in God of War: Ragnarok, there are bound to be some that you don’t know how to get ahold of, like Svefnthorn. Resources can be used for all sorts of things in the game. Svefnthorn, in particular, can be used for crafting weapons and armor at the workshop of the Huldra Brothers. Svefnthorn is one of the more complex resources to come by simply because there is only one way to obtain it. Keep reading along to learn where to find Svefnthorn in God of War: Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarok: Where to Find Svefnthorn
There’s only one main way to find Svefnthorn in-game. However, there are two different ways to go about it. The main and most direct way to obtain Svefnthorn is to do The Lost Treasure quest. The quest can be picked up in Svartalfheim. You’ll need to head to Dragon Beach and climb up the wooden platform. The quest will take you through Alberich Hollow.
The other way to obtain Svefnthorn is to skip the quest and head straight to Alberich Hollow by yourself. However, whether you take to the quest or make your way straight to the target area, you will have to fight a pretty gnarly mini-boss called Orsmtunga. It’s a relatively small enemy, but you must defeat them to find some Svefnthorn. When Orsmtunga dies, you can collect Svefnthorn as drops and use them as you please.
What is Svefnthorn in God of War Ragnarok
According to God of War: Ragnarok, Svefnthorn’s description is “Thorn from a deadly plant used in Seidr magic. Responsible for the corruption observed in the cliffs of Svartalfheim’s Bay of Bounty.”
Svefnthorn can be used at the Hula Brothers’ workshop to craft unique armor and weapons. This can be extremely useful, as sometimes it’s pretty hard to come up with a decent set of gear. Svefnthorn acts as the currency that you will use to craft such gear.
