Tears of the Kingdom has been available for a week now, and players just can’t get enough of the game. The story of Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel to Breath of the Wild, but playing that game is unnecessary to enjoy the story. The story of TotK is told through memories scattered in the world of Hyrule that Link must acquire. Speaking of Link, the main character of the Zelda series has a voice actor in these two games, which helped a lot with the game’s immersion. So if you want to know who is Link’s voice actor in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ve come to the right place.

Link is the main character of Tears of the Kingdom, that helps Princess Zelda with her goals. He is usually considered a silent protagonist, but it was changed in Breath of the Wild and this game as well, sort of. Link doesn’t speak but makes sounds such as scream or gasp.
Those sounds and little voices are made by Japanese voice actor Kengo Takanashi. Takanashi is one of the most known and brilliant Japanese voice actors in recent years, appearing in many video games and animes.
Takanashi recently played the role of Blindfolded Boy in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Tamakazura in Wild Hearts. He also did the voice of some characters in Mahou Tsukai Reimeiki, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Kamen Rider Amazons.
Takanashi’s career has just started, and anticipate seeing him in many more projects, whether they be anime or video games. He appeared in two of the biggest games released by a Japanese publisher this year, and it is safe to say it will continue to be this way in the future.
Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
