Who Is Lorath Nahr in the Diablo Franchise?
You may remember Lorath Nahr from his brief appearance as a character in Diablo 3. However, his role in Diablo 4 is much more significant. We first met Lorath Nahr back in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, where he was a member of the Horadrim. He went along with Tyreal to steal the Black Soulstone, but he was made to leave when Malthael showed up and defeated all of his allies.
Later on, Lorath discovered the Nephalem and delivered news of the damage that Malthael could cause. Afterward, Lorath assisted in our defense of Westmarch as Malthael sent forces to level the town. After we successfully defended Westmarch, Lorath continues on our journey to find Adria, who helps Lorath find Malthael in the Pandemonium. After all this, he heads back to Westmarch, the last point we see him in Diablo 3.
When we see Lorath Nahr reappear in Diablo 4, he becomes much more important by essentially replacing Deckard Cain as our guide through the game’s campaign. After experiencing visions of Lilith, Lorath decides that these visions can be beneficial to let us see what Lilith is planning. We travel with him to Kyovashad to find answers surrounding these strange visions. After this, Lorath takes off briefly to investigate some strange reports in the Dry Steppes but sends us to another member of the Horadrim with the promise to return soon.
It’s very clear that Lorath will serve a massive role in Diablo 4 within the coming Acts. Since Deckard Cain has died, he will be the main NPC that our player character works with side by side.
Who Voices Lorath Nahr in Diablo 4?
If you’re curious about who is responsible for voicing this significant character in Diablo 4, it is Ralph Ineson. Those knowledgeable in cinema might recognize this name from a wide variety of TV series and movies. As for the gaming space, he has played a role in the renowned Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag by Ubisoft.
