In every Pokemon game, you will eventually face off against a group of people with nefarious schemes — from the original’s Team Rocket to Team Galactic and Aether Foundation. As with the tradition, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will also feature a brand new enemy team: the Team Star. With the game’s launch coming pretty soon on November 18, 2022, let’s take a peek at what kind of enemy team this Team Star is.
Team Star – The Enemy Team of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Since Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is using academic activities and school as its theme this time around, it’s only appropriate that the enemy team is based on a group of delinquents and troublemakers; they are called Team Star. As a part of one of the three parallel storylines that you will encounter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you will have to take on the unruly Team Star on their home turf of ★ Starfall Street ★.
Team Star was formed by Naranja (Scarlet version) or Uva (Violet version) Academy’s most rebellious students, who often give teachers a hard time and other students headaches. They are made up of several squads, each squad having its own base across Paldea and led by its own boss. Once you reach their hideout, Team Star grunts will send out relentless waves of Pokemon, and you must defeat them in the brand new Auto-Battles feature within the time limit to challenge their boss to a battle!
At that point, a boss will appear on top of the Starmobile, the Pokemon world equivalent of those rowdy trucks you see in Mad Max films. Defeat each squad’s boss by defeating both their party Pokemon and their Starmobiles to put an end to their riots.
As mentioned before, Team Star is made up of several squads. One that has been revealed is the Schedar Squad, aka Team Star’s Fire-Type Pokemon squad, headed by a tough girl called Mela. Accompanied by her trusty Torkoal, as the team’s best all-rounder, she always finds a heavy-handed way to fix any and every problem thrown her way. Despite her forceful and gruff impression, Mela’s headstrong personality has earned her the trust of her comrades.
The uniforms worn by the members of Team Star will differ depending on the version of the game you play, being either purple for the Violet version or reddish-orange for the Scarlet version. You can watch Mela and her Schedar Squad gang in action in the Seek Your Treasure! trailer below. However, since the last few games, the enemy team’s plans weren’t as villainous as in all the previous games. Could it be that there’s another organization scheming behind Team Star’s back…?
