Fans of 90 Day Fiancé have grown tired of Daniele Gates’ annoying attitude on the show. Daniele Gates made the wrong impression on fans from the beginning of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4. Apart from hiding some information about herself from her husband, Yohan Geronimo — including filing for bankruptcy in America — she has also irked fans with her poor attitude.
Daniele and Yohan were first introduced to the 90 Day Fiancé universe when they appeared on Love In Paradise: The Caribbean — with the two getting married on the show only five months after they met. When they returned on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4, Daniele had decided to relocate to the Dominican Republic from her base in New York to start a life with Yohan.
That decision was one of the first disagreements between the couple. Yohan has always been vocal about his desire to live in the US, and Daniele had previously promised to get him a spousal visa to live with her. While there is nothing wrong with having a change of heart, the bullish way she has gone about it made fans turn on her.
Since then, she has continued to get on the wrong side of fans due to her condescending behavior towards Yohan. She regularly criticizes him over the way he runs his butcher shop and their finances, which is quite hypocritical because her spending habit doesn’t help matters. Furthermore, Daniele made a big issue about the lack of air conditioning in Yohan’s family home and refused to sleep there. Many viewers found that distasteful and added her to the fans’ black book.
90 Day Fiancé Daniele Is A Hypocrite
Although many disagreements have characterized Daniele and Yohan’s marriage, one recurring theme is Daniel constantly whining about their finances. The 43-year-old woman often condescendingly criticizes Yohan’s business skills and calls him out for not running his shop how she deems fit. However, the show’s viewers have found her outbursts to be hypocritical. Many have pointed out how her lousy spending habit is doing more damage to their finances, but she chooses to turn a blind eye to that.
More importantly, fans have called her out for hiding her financial situation in New York from Yohan. In 2022, Daniele filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy, which she later changed to chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy. At the time of her filing, the reality star had liabilities running up to $225,000. Although Daniele had previously admitted she couldn’t afford to live in America anymore, it has now become evident that she was running away from a lot more.
90 Day Fiancé Daniele Complains A Lot
90 Day Fiancé fans have also grown tired of Daniele’s constant and annoying complaints. The list continues from whining about their finances to complaining about the lack of air conditioning in Yohan’s family home. More recently, Daniele raised the bar when she got into an argument with Yohan about who gets to drive. In one of the show’s latest episodes, the couple got into a heated confrontation when Daniele tried to make a case that she was a better driver than Yohan because he had gotten into an accident and received a ticket.
Daniele later explained that Yohan wouldn’t allow her to drive because he feared how people would react. Daniele eventually concedes to Yohan driving but not after saying it’s only because she is too tired to fight. The 90 Day Fiancé star continues complaining as Yohan drives, and he ultimately gives her a telling-off. The drama doesn’t seem to end there as Daniele later insists in a confessional that Yohan would have to lose his attachment to the traditional gender roles. This renewed tussle for dominance might be the catalyst for the couple to part ways. Whatever the case, fans can’t wait to watch what drama would unfold in the pair’s complicated relationship.
