The day is here! The open beta or rather early access to the open beta for Diablo 4 has begun. Players who have pre-ordered the game have now the chance to try some of the things that the upcoming game will bring. While the launch will happen in June, this is a good time to try the game, test some classes, and fight some demons. Recently, some games have offered early access periods if you pre-order the game or buy a certain edition. We think Hogwarts Legacy really set the bar for that. So, if you have the game already, early access is open to you. However, many are wondering if the progress of the beta of Diablo 4 will carry over to the full game. Well, here we’ll answer that.
Will Diablo 4 Beta progress carry over?
The short answer is no. Sadly, those that play the early access and the open beta won’t be able to play with what they earn during the game’s official launch. We imagine that this is to avoid giving players an advantage which is more than fair. However, not all is bleak. If you are playing during the early access weekend, your progress will carry over to the open beta of Diablo 4. That means that you won’t have to start from scratch when the open beta gets here. Guess that’s the silver lining. Still, many are a bit sad about this, but it tends to be normal for most early-access games.

While the news is a bit sad, this isn’t deterring players from trying the upcoming game. While progress will not carry over after the open beta of Diablo 4 ends, there are nice things to try. You can test three of the classes, including the new Rogue class. You can fight a world boss as well and level up all the way to level 25. We consider that this is a good early access and open beta period so be sure to try it if you already own the game. If not, you can pre-order before its official launch later this June.
