Those who have played the retail WoW version for a while know that legendaries are a thing. This expansion has a plethora of legendary items for every single class. In the past, getting one of them was hard, but with this expansion, it is as easy as just farming them. So, WoW Shadowlands season 4 brings some changes to legendaries. More specifically, you won’t need to upgrade them. The WoW Shadowlands update arrives next week and has some changes with it. But the most notable is the one that involves legendary upgrading. This might make some players happier than others.

Earlier this month, we saw an experience buff getting applied to the retail version of WoW. Something that surprised a lot of players. Given that Blizzard had announced a buff for the Classic version. This buff will last until WoW Shadowlands season 4 arrives next week. And this season has some changes. Throughout the expansion, players have been able to get some legendaries and upgrade them. With each WoW Shadowlands update, the cost for upgrading became higher for players. So, when WoW Shadowlands Season 4 arrives, there won’t be a need to upgrade them anymore.
This WoW Shadowlands update will make players choose between two things. Keeping their legendaries or farm for an item with a higher item level. We know that Blizzard has made some strange choices in developing this expansion. Borrowed power is one of them. So, with players not being able to upgrade legendaries, was it all for nothing? This WoW Shadowlands season 4 is changing things a bit. We don’t know if Blizzard wants to shake things up in preparation for the new expansion. Or if this is a way for players to show them they are more player-friendly, given how they are asking for everyone’s opinion lately.
