The corporate vice president of Xbox, Sarah Bond, offered her support for Rockstar via Twitter concerning the recent GTA 6 leak. She said she sympathized with how difficult it can be for a development team to work so hard on something and then have it leaked before they are ready to show it. Grand Theft Auto 6 being shared in its incomplete form has resulted in a lot of unwarranted criticism of the under-development title.
Bond wrote that her thoughts were with the team at Rockstar and that it can be “disheartening to have a project you’ve worked hard on to delight fans revealed and critiqued before it’s ready”.
She then expressed her faith in the team and said she couldn’t wait to experience GTA 6 once it is officially announced by Rockstar.
This clearly confirms that the leak was real, and was indeed GTA 6 in its relatively early stage of development. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, had promptly started removing all the footage of the leaked gameplay, providing further credence to its legitimacy.
The amount of leaked information was not something to scoff at either, because in total, over 90 videos of a pre-release version of Grand Theft Auto 6 were leaked onto social media on Sunday.
My thoughts are with the team at @RockstarGames 💚It can be disheartening to have a project you've worked hard on to delight fans revealed and critiqued before it’s ready. I know they’re creating something special and can’t wait to experience GTA6 when it's officially unveiled.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Leaked Footage
The footage of the open-world gameplay from Grand Theft Auto 6 was initially posted on the GTA Forums by a user named Teapotuberhacker, and the same person is now saying that they are currently looking to negotiate a deal with Rockstar following the leak.
It is not clear what Teapotuberhacker could possibly want from Rockstar, or what they think they could possibly leverage over the gaming giant, which has been fighting the leak by issuing a plethora of takedown notices on YouTube.
The leaker also claims to have the source code of the build on hand and might be suggesting that they could use the data against Rockstar for ransom. A truly despicable means of extortion if proved true.
