The latest November Xbox update has brought various improvements, including; a new Captures app, enhanced streaming options and a sharing mode for the Store Wish Lists. Additionally, Xbox allows players to connect directly to Discord Voice App from the console. Xbox introduced the Discord feature in September 2022. However, this feature needed a procedural setup, which many users found tedious.
How the Updated Xbox Connects Directly to Discord
Xbox users can now connect to their Discord voice channels easily. To get there;
- Open the Xbox guide,
- Click on Parties & chats,
- And select Discord,
- Then Scroll through the available Discord Servers to get to the voice channel you wish to join. Before joining the group, you can see your friend list in the discord server and the call channel.
After releasing the upgrade, Microsoft shared that they have added a noise suppression feature in the Discord Calls option. This option is active on Xbox Series S|X to improve the audio reception while connecting via new-gen consoles.
The company also adds that the suppression feature will include the ability to filter background noises, such as keyboard clicks leading to clear voice transmission in your calls. At the same time, the feature allows you to switch this feature any time you will from the Discord call Options section.
The November release has features that enhance players’ connection with friends. For instance, players can now stream directly from the console through Twitch, Lightstream, and Streamlabs. Additionally, the new version allows wish list gifting and sale notification sharing.
The upgrade will also introduce a new capture app. This capture app has been designed to improve the management and editing features of Xbox games. Additionally, this feature will provide better viewing and increased playback on Xbox Series S|X. In addition to many more features, Microsoft has also introduced a controller rambling to improve the Xbox Cloud Gaming experience.
