A Twitter thread asking followers what game they wanted to play next received a response from Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who suggested God of War Ragnarok. The thread on the official Xbox Twitter account encourages fans to share their first, most-played, and last-played games.
The Next Game Xbox’s Phil Spencer Wants to Play is God of War Ragnarok
God of War Ragnarok, the next PlayStation sequel to release on November 9, 2022, was chosen by Microsoft’s head of games, Spencer, as the game he’s most interested in playing next. Spencer has previously indicated a desire to play the much-awaited game, which was delayed from its initial 2021 release date, to assist Santa Monica Studio in making “a top-quality game while maintaining the safety and wellbeing” of its developers.
“So well said Cory (Santa Monica Studio creative director),” Phil Spencer said in a tweet. “Can’t wait to enjoy GoW when it comes out. And thanks to you and the team for the amazing work that goes into creating things we love. Thank you.”

God of War Ragnarok is expected to be released on November 9, 2022, for PS5 and PS4. Kratos and Atreus battle the likes of Thor and Freya in the last title of Santa Monica’s action-adventure series’ Norse mythology. Sony and Santa Monica Studio have also unveiled the standard, launch, and other editions for God of War: Ragnarok in a blog post. The standard edition will cost $59.99 on PS4 and $69.99 on PS5). Players can also upgrade to the God of War Ragnarok PS5 edition for $10 if they have it for the PS4.
On the other hand, Microsoft said last month that it intends to release at least five first-party games in its fiscal year that ends in June 2023. Redfall and Starfield from Bethesda, two of its most anticipated forthcoming titles, have lately been delayed until the first half of 2023.
