In Xenoblade Chronices 3, you not only get to battle with six party members, but you can also recruit special allies as a seventh member known as Heroes. There are 20 heroes in the game that you can recruit with each benefiting your team in their own way. If you are on the lookout for a powerful Defender in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, then you should work to unlock the Hero Ashera. You do this by completing their Hero Quest. We’ll show you where you can find Ashera and how to recruit her.
How to Unlock the Hero Ashera in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Also known as the Undying Blade Ashera, this character is the commander of Keves Colony 11. A Lone Exile Defender Class, Ashera is a Hero who sports double-ended spear. Although she excels in the role of defense, she is just as aggressive as an attacker.
So, how do we get the brazen defender Hero Ashera in Xenoblade Chronicles 3? First, you have to ensure you don’t miss her by mistake. It is not like she’s tough to find though.
Ashera becomes unlockable in Chapter 4 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. So, don’t continue on with just the main storyline. Instead, branch off to explore some more. Her quest is referred to as “The Wrath of Ashera”. To accept and start this questline, you’ll meet Ashera once you reach the Syra Hovering Reefs. Head near the front gate of Colony 11. This is the opposite of where you turn if you were following the main storyline.
Once you head toward the yellow Hero Quest marker, a cutscene will trigger that will introduce you to Ashera in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Note: Aim to be anywhere from Level 36 to Level 40 prior to meeting Ashera. There are waves of enemies here, and many of them start at Level 37 and go higher from there.
Recruiting Hero Ashera
During the quest, when you defeat the 7th Levnis Group, Ashera will ask you to help her reclaim Colony 11. Once moved onto the next quest marker, you’ll battle three enemy waves. When they’re defeated, it’s time to battle Consul R, who will transform into Moebius R.
After everyone’s defeated, Ashera joins up as a permanent member in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
She’s arguably the best defender, but remember to have healers on-hand in the party when using her. You want the enemy going for her, but because of that, you want to make certain she’s built to handle the onslaught.
