Van is getting a bigger role for Yellowjackets season 2 with Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) starring as the adult version of the character. Accompanying this update, teen Vanessa, played by Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), has been promoted to a series regular. The series is aiming to return in early 2023.
The series follows the present and the past of this girl soccer team that crash-landed in the woods and had to do anything possible to survive. The present follows some of the survivors as their past comes back to haunt them, along with dealing with the trauma of suffering through that as teenagers. Vanessa was the goalkeeper that had a relationship with Taissa, played by Jasmin Savoy Brown (Scream). Yellowjackets season 2 will explore what happened to their relationship as they got older. Adult Taissa, played by Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), has a relationship, a son, and has become a Senator. With the odd cultish hints in the series, it appeared that Van took part in that, so who could she be as an adult?
