Little People, Big World couple Zach and Tori Roloff have revealed that their newborn son, Josiah, has achondroplasia. Zach and Tori welcomed Josiah into their lives on April 30th, 2022. His birth made the couple parents to three children as they already shared a five-year-old son, Jackson, and a two-year-old daughter, Lilah.
Three weeks after Josiah’s birth, Zach and Tori Roloff have revealed that he has achondroplasia, just like his dad and older siblings. The proud parents made the revelation during a chat with Us Weekly. Zach said,
“He’s Josiah. He has achondroplasia, but he’s not, like, Josiah the achondroplasia.”
Meanwhile, Tori added,
“Just like I’m Tori, I have brown hair. I’m not a brunette — like, that’s not how I would classify myself.”
Dwarfism is Not New to The Roloffs
The Roloff family has a history of dwarfism. Zach’s parents, Matt and Amy Roloff, have achondroplasia. However, Zach’s twin brother, Jeremy, and his other siblings, Molly and Jacob, do not have the condition.
Tori, who also doesn’t have achondroplasia, said the condition is normal to their family as she listed family members with it. However, the reality television star said they have many resources to cope with it. The mother of three further remarked that there are many parents without the same resources and confidence she and Zach possess.
Zach and Tori Promise Continous Support for Dwarfism
Despite being parents to three children with dwarfism and having a history of the condition, Zach and Tori are vowing to use their platform to support people living with it. Zach said,
“We will definitely be advocates for people with dwarfism cause of our kids.”
His wife, Tori, added,
“Forever.”
Zach and Tori’s resolve is quite commendable. The lovebirds, who have been married since 2015, are a good example of how not to be let down by one’s condition but to use it to benefit others and improve the world.
Hopefully, their courage and story will inspire those with the same condition to be confident and live normal lives.
