Developer G1 Playground and publisher Super.com have announced that their upcoming crafting survival game, Zelter, is now on Steam for Early Access. This unique take on the zombie genre will set players in a pixelated experience where the end of the world will bring about absurd and colorful violence.
Prepare your defenses and lock-n-load your weapons, for adorable flesh-eating zombies in Zelter are coming for you and your fellow survivors. As you continue to assemble tools and weapons, you will embark on quests into the apocalyptic landscape to muster up more supplies and survivors. Continue to improve your ever-growing fortress with food and security, for the filthy infected are never too far away.
Zelter‘s Early Access Launch trailer toys with its concept of shooting up pixelated zombies. In about the first half, we’re given a somber slideshow of the apocalypse, accompanied by a voice-over narration. They begin to ask a few serious questions in regards to living amongst the undead. But when prompting the question, “Is this really the end?” the voice-over answers with a “Hell no!” and the trailer takes a 180 degree twist; effectual electronic music explodes onto the screen as the protagonist shoots up a storm of bullets against the zombies.
The Early Access launch for Zelter comes after a few successful crowdfunding campaigns, with a wide range of fans looking forward to its release ever since it was first known as “Zhelter“. The game will follow a “community-driven development,” with the developers constantly looking and listening for feedback from the users as Zelter continues its Early Access run.
Zelter can be purchased now through the Steam store for PC players. It’s priced at $19.99, but there’s currently a 10% discount ($17.99) until November 2 to celebrate its Early Access release. The game’s soundtrack can also be purchased through its Steam page, with a bundle for those who wish to have the Zelter experience all in one spot.
