Red Dead Redemption 2‘s newest trailer was released earlier today by publisher Rockstar Games. The third trailer features a more in-depth look into the life of cowboy Arthur Morgan, one of the main characters of the game. The trailer can see be seen below, and make sure to keep an eye out for a familiar face.
According to the trailer, it seems like John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption, will be making an appearance in the new game. A much younger Marston is shown with fresh wounds where his trademark facial scars will appear 12 years later. It is still uncertain as to how big a role he will play, but, regardless, fans are happy to see him once again.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is obviously a prequel set in 1899, as the trailer indicates:
America, 1899.
The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.
After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
After numerous delays, Red Dead Redemption 2 will make its way onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018. To the dismay of many PC users, the developer has yet to announce a PC version of the game.
