As far as merchandise is concerned, Nintendo tends to dominate whatever market they touch. This trend continues with the reveal of the new Animal Crossing x Lego crossover. Now, players can purchase Lego sets with characters like Tom Nook and Isabelle, as well as iconic locations like Nook’s Cranny. Paired with the Super Mario Bros Lego sets, Nintendo already has a strong showing for brick-building fans. Depending on the success of this newest set, we may see the creation of Lego sets for other Nintendo properties. Here are some Nintendo games that would make for a perfect crossover with Lego.

F-Zero

F-Zero may make a fun Nintendo Lego set.

While F-Zero isn’t the most popular series in the world, with the rise of F-Zero 99, Captain Falcon deserves another chance through Legos. Building each of the F-Zero machines could be an excellent project. Plus, a minifigure of all the racers could be a great addition.

Starfox

A Starfox Lego Set would be perfect.

Much like F-Zero, Starfox is an underappreciated series that could use a resurgence. Between different planet locals and vehicles like the Landmaster and the Arwing, Starfox Legos could make as big an impact as Animal Crossing. A Starfox-style Lego set could feel a similar vibe to classic Star Wars sets.

Splatoon

Splatoon Nintendo Lego set ay be amazing.

With the release of the third Splatoon game, the series is at an all-time high. While the squid/kid hybrids may not seem conducive for Nintendo’s next Lego set, there are some interesting things they could do with them. This includes adjustable Inkling minifigures with swappable weapons.

Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem battles would make great Nintendo Lego sets.

Although the hardcore fantasy nature of Fire Emblem doesn’t fit perfectly as Nintendo’s next new Lego set, there’s plenty of material to work with. With so many characters in the series, it may be hard to pick a handful to make into minifigures. Plus, constructing battlefields and recreating fight scenes with minifigures sounds like a blast.

Kirby

Kirby deserves Nintendo Lego sets.

As far as Nintendo Lego sets are concerned, none are more deserving than the pink puffball himself, Kirby. With its cute visuals and wonderfully diverse worlds, Kirby could make an excellent addition to Nintendo’s new Lego sets. Building a huge Whispy Woods out of Legos already sounds like loads of fun. A giant Lego Halberd with a Meta Knight minifigure would make any Kirby fan’s life complete.

Mario Sports

Mario sports need more representation.

Although Mario-branded Legos already exist, seeing these sets branch out into the realm of Mario Sports games would be an excellent choice for a new Nintendo Lego set. At the very least, a Mario Sports Lego set could include some wonderfully Nintendo-themed arenas, like those from Mario Super Strikers, Mario Tennis, and more. These could have some bonus points if they include some extra functionality to play some of the included sports.

Earthbound

This is a great chance for Earthbound to come back.

Though Earthbound is far past its prime in terms of popularity, it deserves a new Nintendo Lego set just as much as any other entry on this list. In terms of minifigures, the main four characters, Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo, as well as characters like Porky, would be an amazing fit. On top of this, constructing each town and building, like Onett and places like its iconic arcade, would make for a wonderful Lego set. Though it may not be nearly as wanted as an Animal Crossing Lego set, it would fill a niche for those who love the series.

Pikmin

Pikmin could make fun sets.

Pikmin 4’s release has brought the Pikmin series back to the forefront of Nintendo’s lineup. Now would be the best time to leverage this resurgence into a new Nintendo Lego set that includes Olimar and his armies of Pikmin. Building massive Pikmin bosses and rocket ships is a great start to Lego sets. Though your average surface location may be a bit boring, boss arenas and caves may make for some more great choices for Lego sets.

Legend of Zelda

Zelda deserves representation as much as Mario.

Finally, Legend of Zelda is arguably the most deserving of a new Nintendo Lego set like Animal Crossing. With so many unique entries in the series, there are loads of different options and styles to choose from. For example, a Breath of the Wild set featuring the Lego Guardians or a Wind Waker set with a Lego King of Red Lions are some easy choices. Plus, collecting each Lego Link from each of the different continuities and styles would be a fun experience.
