Hot Toys, a company based out of Hong Kong, are known for their 12-inch collectible figures and attention to detail. Many of the figures that the company release are so detailed that a quick glance of the figure would fool most people into thinking they are looking at a photograph.
The figures that Hot Toys release are of a 1/6th scale. This size is considered pretty big for a figure. What better to go with a 1/6th scale Star Wars figure? The answer is a simple one. The Millennium Falcon that is also a 1/6th scale.
The Millennium Falcon is a big ship in the Star Wars universe. Not only in popularity, but in actual size. Making a 1/6th scale version of the Millenium Falcon is no small feat by any means. The Millennium Falcon is 18 feet from bow to stern and 12 feet wide. No ordinary house is going to hold this ship.
The massive Millennium Falcon will be on display at the Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong 2015 convention that kicks off on July 24. Some lucky photographers managed to take a few shots of the Falcon as it was being set up at the Hot Toys booth.
In one picture, we can see the Millennium Falcon set up beside some figures of Storm Troopers and Darth Vader to get a sense of scale. Behind the Falcon, Hot Toys has also set up a pair of TIE Fighters that are also 1/6th scale.
As of now, Hot Toys has not announced any plans to release the Millennium Falcon for sale. This is probably due to the man hours needed to complete just one of the models. If the model were to be sold, the price tag would also probably be too big for a normal person to buy.
