As the developers continue to attempt and work out the kinks from their virtual reality headwear we as the consumer can only stand on the sidelines and wait for the first one (not counting the Samsung VR) to hit the shelves. There are some people that have gotten a taste of virtual reality but the majority of us have to settle for the two-dimensional gaming world or the lesser virtual reality of the google cardboard.
According to a recent Fox News interview with Paul Raines, Gamestop CEO, let it slip that SONY’s PlayStation VR will launch this Fall and is also “in discussion with the other two players.” This was possible information he wasn’t entirely at liberty to divulge since after IGN’s request for a comment from Gamestop they have since denied that they have any idea about the release date for the PlayStation VR but “are excited about how the technology will change gaming.”

What do you think about the up and coming VR trend? Will it take the world by storm or will it follow the steps of the PlayStation move and other peripheral based systems?
With VR systems at the price point they are now I would suggest waiting a bit after they big ones are released for the price to drop a bit. VR might be the way of the future but at this point it’s just a little extra feature that won’t become a vital part of video games until it actually becomes reasonably affordable for the majority of consumers.
Think about whether you want one and watch out for the release of the PlayStation VR this fall.
