RE 6 will release on March 29, RE 5 is set for a summer release and the stellar RE 4 will be rereleased in the fall. Each game will set you back $20 USD.

No further details were given but we expect that each game will be upgraded to 1080p and 60 FPS, which is par for the course for remasters and rereleases. The accompanying trailer showed off some smooth action, hideous zombies and lots of tension.

The Resident Evil series is one of the most influential horror series in gaming for a good reason.

Resident Evil 4 was widely regarded as a classic when it was initially released in 2005. The fifth had more action in it than previous entries in the series but still holds up as a fantastic co-op shooter. Six was a very decisive game and didn’t sit very well with critics. we won’t have to wait long to see if it has gotten better with age.

Capcom has been slowly remastering the older games in the series, including the first game and Resident Evil Zero. These rereleases could be leading to the eventual release of Resident Evil 7, which Capcom has already confirmed to be in development.
