Despite being a massive success commercially, Starfield still has its flaws. However, one aspect of the game that nearly everyone adores is the game’s ship-building mechanics. Few games offer customization that is as limitless and expansive. One of the most important aspects of a good ship is the cockpit, so it is vital that you make the right choice when building your own. here are the 5 best cockpits in Starfield.

Cockpit With the Most Crew Stations

DS40.1 Ares Bridge

With an impressive eight crew stations, the DS40.1 Ares Bridge is far and away the best cockpit for large crews. It is going to set you back a pretty penny with its price of 58,000 credits, but it is worth it. However, if you just can’t afford the cost, the DS30.1 Ares Bridge also has eight stations for a slightly more reasonable price. Keep in mind that its cargo capacity is noticeably lower, though.

The DS40.1 Ares Bridge Cockpit will only be available to Starfield veterans unfortunately. Its high price and skill requirements mean that it will be unavailable to beginners. Head over to the Deimos Staryard to purchase it for yourself.

Cockpit With the Most Cargo Space

Kon-Tiki B-600 Bridge

The encumbrance system is one of the most obnoxious features of Starfield. Luckily, this cockpit provides players with a whopping 380 extra cargo! The Kon-Tiki B-600 Bridge is somehow even more expensive than the DS40.1 Ares Bridge at a ridiculous 60,000 credits. Nonetheless, if its storage you want, then storage you shall have.

The Kon-Tiki B-600 is, unfortunately, pretty darn heavy. With a mass of 35, you will definitely miss out on ship maneuverability. Its younger brother, the Kon-Tiki B-310 Bridge, is a good alternative if you can’t stand the extra weight.

Cockpit With Stairs

Cabot C3 Bridge

The Cabot C3 Bridge is Starfield’s only cockpit with stairs inside. This is for good reason, too, because the thing is absolutely massive. The ship part is easily 4 times as wide as the Frontier’s cockpit, and hulking windows stretch across the whole thing. For a beautiful view, the Cabot C3 Bridge is your best bet.

Surprisingly, the cockpit is fairly cheap for its size at only 9,000 credits. To pick it up for yourself, head over to the Sol System and land on Saturn’s moon Titan. It is sold by the moon’s resident ship technician. We just wish all of Starfield’s cockpits had stairs in them so we didn’t have to deal with those wonky ladders all the time.

Cockpit With the Best Maneuverability

Viking CP-100

When it comes to dogfights in space, speed and maneuverability are of the utmost importance. This is where a ship’s mass comes into play. The Viking CP-100 is far and away the lightest cockpit in Starfield, with a mass of only 4! This means that any player can use it regardless of skill level, and steering will be a breeze.

The cargo space is rather lackluster, but that shouldn’t be much of an issue considering you can simply give your items to any of the 4 available crew members. The Viking CP-100 cockpit can be found at Akila City and the Stroud-Elkland Star Yard.

Cockpit With the Best Stats On a Budget

Viking CP-210

The Viking CP-210 is similar to the afore-mentioned Viking CP-100, just with some more bells and whistles. For 3,000 more credits, you can get noticeably better stats on your cockpit. Plus, not to mention, it looks quite a but cooler on the inside as well!

The Viking CP-210 cockpit can be found Akila City and the Stroud-Elkland Star Yard and costs about 10,000 credits.
