The Lampbearer’s enemies want their head on a pike, and wading into danger unprepared is a good way to see that happen. Soulslike games are nothing without a good arsenal, and Lords of the Fallen has an excellent one. Whereas some players will concentrate on swords, hammers, and magic, others will prefer to keep their enemies at a healthy distance. Throwables are great, but nothing replaces a good bow or crossbow. As long as you have an extra Ammunition Satchel or two, you’ll have a deadly volley ready for every Rhogar you encounter. Here are the best-ranged weapons in Lords of the Fallen, ranked from good to fantastic.
5. Udirangr Shaman Bow
The Udirangr Shaman Bow doesn’t have the best stats, but it has a couple of features that make it worth recommending. The first is its minimal requirements. The Udirangr Shaman Bow only requires 13 Strength and 13 Agility. That means it’s quickly within reach for some of the best starting classes except the Condemned. Having a decent ranged weapon in the early game is a big deal, so even though the Udirangr Shaman Bow gets outclassed later on, it still counts amongst the best-ranged weapons in Lords of the Fallen. It’s hard to put a price on staying safe, especially when that safety comes with 100 Ignite.
4. Death’s Finger
Death’s Finger is a major upgrade from the Udirangr Shaman Bow in most ways, and it has requirements to match. To equip this powerful crossbow you’ll need 19 Strength and 16 Agility. It has C+ STR scaling and D+ AGI scaling before upgrades, so it’s a better fit in the hands of strong characters than dexterous ones. With a base Physical Attack Power of 168, Death’s Finger is significantly stronger than most ranged weapons. If you’re running a Strength build and looking for some ranged equipment to complement your dual-wielded Grand Hammers, Death’s Finger is an excellent choice.
3. Multi-Shot Crossbow
The Multi-Shot Crossbow is heavier than Death’s Finger. In fact, it outweighs pretty much every ranged weapon in the game. It also requires a whopping 22 Strength to wield effectively. Unless you’re already pursuing a Strength build, it probably won’t find a place in your weapon rotation. On the plus side, the Multi-Shot Crossbow has B- STR scaling before upgrades and runes. Anyone capable of wielding this weapon is guaranteed to have plenty of Strength. That means this weapon will have excellent DPS. Pair it with other items that boost your Physical Attack Power, and you’ll have one of the best-ranged weapons in Lords of the Fallen.
2. Bow of the Convert
The Bow of the Convert has more modest requirements than the Multi-Shot Crossbow, demanding just 16 Agility to use. Don’t let the lower price of entry fool you, however. The Bow of the Convert is an exceptional weapon in the right build. Its C AGI scaling at base level isn’t the most impressive. That said, the Bow of the Convert deals multiple types of status damage. This bow deals 80 Bleed, 80 Burn, and 80 Poison. That makes it one of the most versatile status effect weapons in the game. Though other weapons dedicated to a single-status effect have higher values, the Bow of the Convert allows you to exploit the weaknesses of multiple enemies at once. At a weight of only 4.7, it also keeps you lightweight and mobile.
1. Assassin’s Bow
The Assassin’s Bow is arguably the best-ranged weapon in Lords of the Fallen. There are other exceptional choices, including some not featured here, so it’s saying something that the Assassin’s Bow ranks so highly. This Bow demands 20 Agility to use properly, which hints at what makes it so great. Unupgraded, the Assassin’s Bow has B- AGI scaling. Put it in the hands of a dexterous character and watch enemies fall to your deadly volleys. Striking a good middle ground in other areas while bringing top-notch ranged DPS to Agility builds makes this weapon one to watch out for as you work toward your chosen ending.
