5 Exotic Class Item Combinations You Should Farm For in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

These combinations are no joke

This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Exotic Class Items and their various perk combinations are arguably come of the more intriguing new additions coming to Destiny 2 with the release of The Final Shape. Rather than having Exotic armor pieces with a single perk, things will be kicked up a notch with the Prismatic subclass, and each of these Exotic Class Items will have two perk slots that, for the most part, combine the perks of two pieces of Exotic Armor. Now, while this is awesome, there’s an art to getting your hands on the right combinations, as well as a whole bunch of farming. Let’s check out the five best Exotic Class Item combinations you should be farming for in The Final Shape.

5. Spirit of Galanor/Spirit of the Star-Eater (Hunter)

Since Spirit of Galanor allows you to gain additional Super energy after your previous Super ended, combining it with Spirit of the Star-Eater and potentially gaining additional damage can be wild with the right Prismatic subclass build. Considering how much damage can already be done with the Golden Gun Super, this would be a lethal combination that can buff your DPS flawlessly if your aim’s on point.

4. Spirit of the Assassin/Spirit of the Gyrfalcon (Hunter)

Now, we’ve already talked about one possible combination for the Hunter class that could be pretty great, but let’s take a look from another angle. Spirit of the Assassin causes finishers and powered melee to give you invisibility, while Spirit of the Gyrfalcon gives you Volatile Rounds on Void weapons after your invisibility period has ended. I don’t think this one needs too much explaining, but if you’re running Void weapons and you’re a Hunter, not pouncing on this combination would be a mistake.

3. Spirit of Apotheosis/Spirit of the Star-Eater (Warlock)

In The Final Shape, the Warlock class is actually going to have some pretty OP Exotic Class Item combinations, including Spirit of Apotheosis and Spirit of the Star Eater. Combined, you’ll be able to gain some pretty great Melee and Grenade energy regeneration any time your Super ends. Additionally, your supers will deal extra damage and will be overcharged and deal extra damage any time you pick up an Orb of Power, so you’ll be able to use your abilities much more often and even get a little DPS boost with your Super. Since this combo isn’t restricted by any specific damage types or weapons, pairing it up with a decent DPS Prismatic Super would be a good idea. Like, imagine the Nova Bomb big boss killing DPS and how much Raid teams will clamor for your power.

2. Spirit of the Assassin/Spirit of Synthoceps (Titan)

While Spirit of the Assassin and Spirit of Synthoceps are available for any class, I feel the Titan can benefit most. In combination, you’ll gain invisibility after doing finishers or powered melee final blows, and when you’re surrounded, you have increased melee damage. However, the big issue with this typically, is that without the invisibility, you’d be left defenseless while using Consecration. However, according to a fellow Titan main on staff, “Big Titan go FIRE SLAM BOOM, then runs and hides while being invisible like a school boy.“ You can see where the synergy comes from and how beneficial it can be.

1. Spirit of Apotheosis/Spirit of Verity (Warlock)

Now let’s take a look at what I personally think will be one of the most beneficial Class Item perk combinations in The Final Shape. Spirit of Apotheosis, once again, gives you increased Grenade and Melee recharge times after your Super ends. Pair that up with a weapon with a matching damage type to your Grenade ability, and you’ll be gaining stacking Grenade damage bonuses with every weapon final blow. The product? Loads of Grenades, stacked damage, and a whole lot of mayhem. I would personally use this with the Incisor and Threadling Grenades.
