Whether you’re a new player off the plane or someone who left the game for a while, you should know everything changes constantly. The ways to make money in GTA Online a few years ago might not be the best now, and it’s always good to know what things to buy first before starting your criminal career. From properties to armored vehicles, many things can give you a headstart in this chaotic city full of things to do and steal.

5 Things You Need to Buy First in GTA Online

As you might already know, GTA Online receives constant updates. Some come with big pieces of content, such as heists and new missions, and others add a few new vehicles to wreak havoc in the city. However, some of these changes how fast you can earn money in the game, and some become more efficient while others become obsolete as time passes. Currently, these are the items we recommend for November 2023.

5. Arcade

The first property you should buy in the game is an Arcade. If you buy the game’s Premium Edition, you’ll get an Organization and a Clubhouse for free, so that’s your way to get passive income. However, if you want to bring in the big bucks, you should start with an Arcade. This property unlocks the Diamond Casino Heist and several other missions you can grind for money. The heist can give you a few million in cash in a couple of hours, and you can grind it to save money for other things.

4. Karin Kuruma (Armored)

This might not be on top of the list, but it isn’t at the bottom either. Having an armored car is great for many jobs in the game, especially heist-related ones. While many can get the Duke O’ Death for free, we recommend the Kuruma for many reasons. It’s faster, it has four doors, handling is a bit better, and some might prefer a sporty look instead of a muscle car. Besides, it is cheap, and you can unlock it by doing the heist tutorial.

3. Buzzard Attack Chopper

If you’re playing solo, we recommend getting the Buzzard Attack Chopper as soon as possible. This vehicle comes with great destructive weaponry you can use when playing certain prep missions, such as the ones for the Cayo Perico heist. Some of them require you to destroy vehicles, and using this helicopter is the fastest and safest way.

2. Bunker

Many players might get this for free, but there are two reasons to buy one. First, if you don’t own the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack. Second, if you want a Bunker closer to the city. The latter is the best reason to buy one because some gun-running missions take place inside Los Santos, and the one you get for free is far away. It is better to cut travel times by having a closer property. While the Bunker isn’t the most profitable business, you can let it accumulate things while you do other activities and then sell everything to make some profit.

1. Kosatka Submarine

Last but not least, and the one that takes the crown as one of the things you should buy first in GTA Online, is the Kosatka Submarine. This vehicle will unlock the Cayo Perico heist, which is still the best one you can grind for easy money. It costs $2,200,000.00 and might take a while before you get it, but once you do, you can attempt the game’s latest heist to get as much money as you want in a couple of hours and with little preparation.

While there are other cool things in the game, we recommend these ones to set up your active and passive income so you don’t go broke during the game’s first hours. Once you get the hang of the heists and other businesses, feel free to spend the big bucks on whatever you want.
