After a while, unless it’s a really great weapon, with all the buffs and nerfs coming in at pretty regular intervals, oftentimes, good weapons get left in your Vault to collect dust while others take the spotlight in Destiny 2. However, with all the new weapon changes and buffs that will be going down with the release of The Final Shape, those dust-collecting, one-great, now forgotten weapons will have their shot in the spotlight once again. Let’s take a look at five weapons that you should pull out of your Vault in time for The Final Shape in Destiny 2.
5. Breachlight
Many weapons were sunset quite a while ago that just couldn’t be used past a certain point. However, with some of the changes made to weapons by Bungie recently, more specifically, the change that essentially sunset sunsetting, older weapons are just as useful as they once were again and don’t have to sit in your Vault taking up space anymore. One such weapon is the Breachlight Kinetic Sidearm, from Season of the Dawn.
4. Steelfeather Repeater
Much like the Breachlight Sidearm, the Steelfeather Repeater is an Auto Rifle, and one that was also released during the Season of Dawn and was sunset, left to collect dust in our Vaults. The perks on this weapon can be pretty great, and with the new changes coming in The Final Shape, Auto Rifles will be doing a total of 15% more damage to red bar combatants. With the increased damage buffs and the sunsetting of sunsetting, it’s a great idea to pull Steelfeather Repeater out of your Vault and get some use out of it again.
3. BXR-55 Battler
The BXR-55 Battler Pulse Rifle has always been quite the beast in PvP game modes, but it’s never really been able to stand its ground in PvE gameplay. However, with the changes in The Final Shape, Pulse Rifles will be doing a lot more damage. Not only will Pulse Rifles get an additional 20% damage buff in PvE, but it will also get another additional 15% to red bar enemies, making the DPS wild. You’ll want to bring this out of the Vault over the coming weeks.
2. Bad Juju
Much like the BXR-55 Battler, Bad Juju should be brought back out of your Vault so you can get in on some of the OP Pulse Rifle PvE action that’ll be happening. Though Bad Juju has something extra to give you more incentive to bring it out of the Vault. Whenever you get kills with this Pulse Rifle, your magazine will be refilled, damage will increase for a short period, and Super energy will be granted based on the strength of String of Curses. Bottom line? You need this weapon in your PvE loadout.
1. Transfiguration
Much like Pulse Rifles, Scout Rifles are getting a pretty big buff in The Final Shape, so Transfiguration should come out of Vault storage. First, the hip fire reticle will be updated to show your accuracy and aim assist state, but that’s not all. This Dreaming City Raid weapon can be crafted and enhanced, so God Rolls are easy to get, as well as boosted stats, and it honestly just looks awesome. Not to mention, Transfiguration will also get a whopping 20% damage increase against minor red bar enemies in PvE.
Destiny 2 is now available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.
